// ABOUT THE SESSION

Your defences held for years. Then a supplier went down.

A cyber incident gets past your controls. A key supplier goes dark. A core system falls over on a Monday morning. When it happens, do you know which of your services have to keep running, and what each one depends on?

Most organisations have spent heavily on stopping disruption. Far fewer have tested what happens when it gets through anyway. In this AxioInsights fireside chat, three people who manage that gap inside large, customer-facing organisations talk it through: Graham Self, our Principal Architect, Cara Walker, Global CTO, and Ed Chapman-Parmar, Programme Director for technology and operational resilience. We finish with a live Q&A.

// 01What we'll get into

Graham brings our business-led approach to finding your important business services, tracing what each one depends on, and building resilience you can actually test. Cara and Ed hold it up against what they deal with day to day: disruption, supplier dependency and third-party risk. Four threads run through the hour.

  1. 01

    Where the approach holds up

    How a business-led approach stands up when it meets a real incident.

  2. 02

    Where the plan and the day job pull apart

    The distance between a resilience plan on paper and what teams do when a supplier or system actually fails.

  3. 03

    What they'd do differently

    Each speaker on what they would change, knowing what they know now.

  4. 04

    Live Q&A

    The last part of the session is yours. Bring the question your board would ask you.

// WHAT YOU TAKE AWAY

Every attendee gets our resilience self-assessment straight after the session. It's a short exercise covering governance, resilience and recovery, mapped to the National Cyber Security Centre's Cyber Assessment Framework (NCSC CAF) and the US National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF). Use it to check your own organisation against the speakers' thinking before your next incident.
