Celebrate 10 Years since the Tour de France with Yorkshire's Legacy Ride!

Calling all cycling enthusiasts!

This summer, Yorkshire hosting a brand new event, the Legacy Ride, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the county's unforgettable Tour de France Grand Depart and we are delighted to be a sponsor of this epic sportive.

Organised by leading cycling events company Struggle, sponsored by Axiologik, and supported by Leeds City Council, Active Leeds and Visit Leeds, this event will see up to 500 riders take part.

Ride Like the Pros

On July 7th, amateur cyclists will get the chance to tackle a challenging route that retraces the footsteps (or should we say, tyre tracks) of the sport's biggest stars back in 2014. Starting from Roundhay Park in Leeds, the ride winds its way through some of Yorkshire's most picturesque landscapes, taking cyclists through the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

Multiple Routes for All Levels

The Legacy Ride caters to cyclists of all abilities. While seasoned athletes can test their mettle on the full 230km route, there are also 120km and 70km options designed to be more accessible. All routes begin and end at Roundhay Park, offering stunning views throughout the ride.

A Celebration with a Cause

This event is more than just a cycling challenge; it's also a fundraiser for two worthy causes. Proceeds will benefit the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association and the Leeds Hospitals Charity's £6.8 million appeal to build a Rob Burrow Centre for MND.

Economic Boost for Yorkshire

The 2014 Grand Depart significantly boosted Yorkshire's economy, and organisers of the Legacy Ride hope to replicate that success. By attracting cyclists from all over the country, the event aims to generate tourism revenue and promote the region's natural beauty.
