What attracted you to join Axiologik?
The role at Axiologik was what intrigued me the most. Ben reached out to offer me a strategic position, helping to lead the Test and Trace programme during the pandemic. Given the critical nature of the work, it felt like an opportunity to make a real impact. It was a significant decision for me, as I had been with my previous role for over eight years. However, the chance to contribute to such an important initiative made it an easy choice.
What unique perspective do you bring to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)?
My experience gives me a unique insight into what we deliver for our clients. Having worked directly on numerous client projects, I understand both the technical and operational sides of our solutions. As the only technical member of the SLT, I bring a deep understanding of why we make certain decisions regarding our services and how they align with our clients' needs. This perspective is crucial when discussing strategies and ensuring that our technical choices are informed by real-world experience.
We all have different leadership styles on the SLT, and I believe my technical background helps balance the team. Different situations bring out different strengths in each of us, and my role often involves bridging the gap between technical execution and strategic planning.
What has been your most significant achievement at Axiologik?
One of my proudest achievements was leading rapid changes to public health solutions during the pandemic. We managed everything from border control and quarantine management to building modern capabilities both within Axiologik and for our clients. Winning thecontract to transform their operating model while continuing to deliver pandemic-related solutions was a monumental moment for us, requiring us to scale our teams rapidly, which was both challenging and rewarding – particularly in light of the critical importance of what we were at UKHSA to do.
What do you envision for the future of Axiologik?
We’re known for our insightful leadership in driving transformational change, particularly in areas like operating models. This will always be a core part of our identity and one of our most valued services. However, as we grow and evolve, we need to expand our digital service offerings. We’ve already started developing a three-year strategy to stay true to who we are, meet market demands, and differentiate ourselves from our competitors. The future of Axiologik involves scaling while maintaining the quality and innovation that we’re known for.
